2026 Welcome Kit Drive
The 2026 Welcome Kit Drive was very successful–103 kits sent to Billings for newly arrived families. Your generosity made this possible, and we’re tremendously grateful.
If your church or organization would like to play a role in this effort contact us at gallatinrefugees@gmail.com, or call 406-209-0971.Contact us to host a poster with kit lists or act as a collection point. Finally, if you cou;dn’t join us for this year’s drive you can donate to GRC or the resettlement agencies directly.
Donations to GRC fund Kit Packing Day, and provide ongoing advocacy in support of refugee resettlement in Montana. GRC is a 501c3 organization.
What is a Kit Drive?
Annually we coordinate a collection of household items organized by room to help families get started in their new lives and accelerate their integration into the community.
- Learn what refugees really need. Check out these room kit lists.(dates are from 2026–updates coming!)
- Share this opportunity. Get the word out to your neighbors, workplace or church using this printable flyer (last year’s flyer–update coming!)
- Join our volunteer crew for 2026! Register to volunteer packing kits by filling out this online form. If you’re interested in organizing ahead of the event by recruiting in kind donations (e.g. volunteer t-shirts, food, appreciation), or promoting this event in our community, contact Marty Albini at marty.albini@gmail.com.
